Why We Crave Horror Movies….

This was a rather interesting article to read. Why We Crave Horror Movies by Stephen King is about why people pay money to get scared out of their wits and like it. They say that we go to horror movies so that we can prove to ourselves that we aren’t scared and becomes like a self-reassurance thing. I think that alot of the facts in this article are very true but still don’t understand why people pay to see horror movies cause I hate them.

I Want A Wife…..

I really liked that we read the story I Want A Wife by Judy Brady for these particular reasons. First of all men realize that they can’t live without us in their lives. Secondly, men don’t realize how many other things there is to do within a house hold besides spraying Febreeze in the air and feeding the dog. Thirdly, after awhile men find out that we(women) make men better people in general:) I think it was an eye opener to see at how much time it takes just do raise a family and then throwing work on top of it can be very stressful.

Dear South Africa, Australia, and China……

Questions for those who live in South Africa…. Do you have towns that are generally just one tribe or are you all intermixed? What does a normal meal consist of?

Questions for those who live in Australia….. What’s the driving age down there before you  can get your license? Do you ever have to be careful for poisonous snakes or spiders?

Questions for those who live in China…. Do you ever have to work in the rice patties? How many kids do you have in your schools?

Welcome To Iowa….

If you were to visit Iowa I think alot of you would be surprised to find that we aren’t a bunch of hillbillies that have out houses and horses. On that note we do have alot of corn.

Snake Alley

Snake Alley is the world’s curviest and most crooked road. This road is usually closed due to traffic but a great sight to see when visiting Iowa.

State Basketball ….

Last week Monday was the start of the state basketball tournament. Gina and I  headed down to Des Moines at about 12:30 after a 12:00 dismissal that day. We arrived in Des Moines a little early but just in time to grab something to eat. After our quick meal at McDonald’s we headed to the arena and seated ourselves in the front row beside our student section and finished watching the game right before us. We watched the highly anticipated game. It ended with a tough win but was completely earned and deserved by our boys. We headed home and enjoyed our Rockstar energy drinks and also savored the taste of the cookies and cream Hershey’s bar. At about 11:00 that night my phone died which put me in a really bad mood. I kept turning it off and on so that I could communicate with people and recieve my Happy Birthday messages when the clock ticked 12:00. The next day was my birthday which was pretty fun since it was such a screwed up week and I also had a work party that night. Which resulted in a really embarrasing lose in Wii Bowling.

The end of the week soon arrived and I woke up bright and early to finish packing my things and meet a bunch of girls in the school parking lot. Gina, Stephanie and I were in one vehicle and the rest of the girls in another. As we headed to Des Moine Gina’s car ever so comveniently broke down in Cherokee. Gina’s parents had to back track an hour to come and get us but we ended up making it to the game as they were announcing the players. After the game we headed back to the hotel and changed our clothes so we could go to the mall and find something to eat. After a very long very stressful day we crashed and were all sleeping my 12:00am in our wonderful King Suite.

The next day we went shopping at the Jordan Creek Mall and went mini golfing. At about 2:30 we went back to the hotel and changed our clothes for the black out and headed back to the arena so we could watch the Rock Valley boys championship game. After their win we flooded the stands and watched our boys get handed that big gold trophy. It was so exciting. I went home that night and Gina and Stephanie went home the next day. We were all extremely exhausted but had a great weekend that made it all worth while.

Interesting Blog?

I’m not going to brag up my blog just for the fact that it’s not worth bragging about but since i have permission to tell you it’s awesome …. Then you should read my blog cause it’s AWESOME!!!(jk). I guess some of the interestin things on my blog are the embarrasing moments that i’ve had and others have had. My blog very clearly states the things I like and like to do. I’m not going to say anything any different then the way it is.

Challenge 1

Saturday With Gina and Amber….

This past Saturday Gina and I went to Sioux Falls to look for some things for prom such as jewelery for our dresses and after prom clothes. We left Rock Valley at about 8:20 that morning in high hopes that we would have enough time to go the places we wanted. Went started off at Walmart and slowly made our way around to all the stores we passed. At about 12:00 we went to Wendy’s to eat cause we were absolutely starving. Then we headed to the mall so we could wrap up our day and start heading back to my place so we could get ready for the big Sub-state basketball game against Unity. As we got in the car and started to head to the stop light Gina reminded me that I had to bring my sisters shoes back to Sears. We quickly drove over there and returned them and headed back to the stop light. As we were in a small road between the interstate get off and the mall we got stuck in a traffic jam that lasted for a half hour and we were absolutely not moving. So finally we decided that we were going to take all back roads home. As we drove along I made a comment to Gina about how I’ve never been pulled over before or had a ticket. Then as soon as those very words left my lips i came over a hill only to see a white car with something on the top of it. Those were cop lights. He slowed down and put his window down. I slowed down too and started to pull to the right. Then I saw his hand come out of his window and point downward. I kept slowing down and when I was almost to a dead stop I looked in my mirrors only to find nobody behind me or beside me. I got off the hook and the cop had kept driving. Needless to say we drove speed limit the rest of the way home and still got awesome seats at the game.

Badmitton Blues….

Last week in PE we were playing badmitton and i’m a terrible player and everyone knows it. I was busy talking to Boofy and we decided that we didn’t want to be on each others team for some reason. We thought that if we stood right beside each other then there would be no chance of us being on the same team. Boy was I wrong. We started to play. Well at least Boofy did cause I didn’t want to mess up his A game. As we played of course i missed almost every serve and he kept laughing at me which would only make me laugh. So it made things only worse when we were both laughing pretty uncontrolably. Since i was so bad Boofy started to make rules for me and if I didn’t follow them he would kick me off his team. RULE 1: Hit the Birdie RULE 2: Get birdie over net RULE 3: If you don’t think you can hit it them don’t and let Boofy get it. RULE 4: If you think it’s going to go out hit it anyways casue it will always land in the box. RULE 5: if you hit the birdie hit it at the opponents in the face so we can at least get a point. The rules went all the way to seven and i can’t even remeber all of them. It was probably the best day in PE ever cause we laughed more then actually played:)

My Little Girl by Tim McGraw

The first reason I picked this video was because I couldn’t find a video for Jason Aldean’s, “Big Green Tractor.” Regardless of that fact I still love this song. First because as you can probably see in my other blogs I’m a daddy’s girl and that’s all this song is about and fits right into my relationship with my dad. Secondly, this song was picked for my blog becasue it’s always stuck in my head and it always pops into my head when i’m crabby or in a very bad mood. Tha’t s really all i have to say about it so now you can just listen to it and enjoy:)

ugh…prom…yay

So again prom is coming and as much fun as everyone thinks it is I beg to differ. This year i’m thinking maybe i should just go by myself but if i went by myself then what would i take to ride in during the Grand March. I thought about taking my dad’s 7810 (which is a tractor for those of you who don’t know) or i could just go and ask some random guy i hardly know to come with me and leave the ride up to him. I really am not looking forward to prom honestly but hey i do like after prom alot and the stuff after after prom. Hmmmmm …. this would be much easier if there weren’t so many options but qutie hoenstly i’m sick of thinking about it so how about you just give your two cents of what you think i should do. If you think i should ride a scooter to prom hey tell me cause as of right now i’m walking, alone, down the cement.
